Dr. Christina Bove, M.D. FACC
Dr. Christina Bove is a board certified cardiologist. She completed her undergraduate and medical school training at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, in Rochester, New York. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology training at Yale New Haven Hospital and The University of Virginia Health System. She is currently completing a Fellowship and Certification program with the Age Management Medicine Group and is a Certified Biote Provider.
After many years as a cardiologist, her life, and career began to expand. After having 3 children and the stress of a busy clinical practice, she found herself 40 pounds overweight. These events sent her on a journey to find her own answers. Her answer came from one of her own patients, who brought the Ideal Protein Method to her attention. After investigation and successfully losing and keeping the weight off, Dr. Bove decided to expand her practice and offer the Ideal Protein Method to her cardiac patients.
“I chose to offer the Ideal Protein Method because it is scientifically researched and proven weight loss method and the results are repeatable and sustainable. The program teaches the science behind why you gain weight, how to lose weight, and most importantly, how to keep it off after dieting and lead to a healthier lifestyle.”
It was during an Ideal Protein conference in 2015 where she was discussing medical services that she and her peers were offering that were making patience feel better and improving their quality of life with several other doctors from around the country that she first learned of bio-identical hormones. The topic of bio-identical hormone therapy quickly became the focus of the conversation. Another cardiologist presented studies showing the positive effect on the heart, as well as the health of the brain, bones and breasts. Dr. Bove spent the next couple of years doing her own research and came to the conclusion that this was a valuable medical service to bring to her patients.
“Both the nutritional benefit of the Ideal Protein Method, along with the bio-identical hormone therapy, proved to be excellent protocols to help prevent cardiovascular disease. These two medical services have brought great value to my practice, as I have seen patients coming off of high blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol medication. Patients are saying that for the first time, they feel better, they have more energy and their overall quality of life has improved. I find this both exciting and rewarding as a physician and feel I am making a true impact on their health.”
Dr. Bove is blessed with three children, Zachary, Sophia and Harrison. She and her husband enjoy riding motorcycles, camping, cooking, hiking and traveling anywhere warm.
